Musings

I keep hearing about how America is turning away from God, that America is no longer the "utopia" it used to be. Things that once hid in dark corners to prevent mankind from seeing the sinfulness of others are out in the open. Things adults once would whisper to one another so their children wouldn't hear are being proclaimed in kindergarten classrooms. Things that once repulsed now regale.  America has changed radically in a sense. But in another sense it has not. The exposure of evil in men's hearts does not change America from what it was but lays bare what it always has been. It's all clutter that's been pushed under the bed of euphemisms and hush tones. the bed is being replaced with Satan's lies that these things are good.
Because society has embraced these lies christians can no longer blend into the culture. America was never up made completely of christians and it still isn't now. The lines are now just more sharply drawn. People believe evil is good and good is evil. sin corrupts entirely and entirely it corrupts. So we must always remember to "be diligent to present [ourselves] approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth"(2 Tim 2:15)
Remember, God is where we find our hope, not in the state of America. And we must not run away from culture nor must we embrace and blend. We must exist within yet be separate. One of the many paradoxes of christianity.
"He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." (Mark 16:15)

Ranger's Gone But Not From My Heart

We had to put my sweet dog Ranger down on Monday. So, I thought I would dedicate a post to him.
All the things I remember him for..
His sweet heart
if you can spot him, with his blurry always-waggin' tail
he was a beggar but we loved him:)
When he would run free on the golf course. he loved running and smelling freedom with out a leash.

yes he would jump for treats. and if i got  excited and started jumping he would jump a little too.
 his face when asking to go for a walk.:}-{
his funny faces. he used to puff out his lip just like that when he was begging.
 lying in the grass
 LOved walks. Loved them.

 when i call his name...
 the two nuts.:)

 By the christmas tree
he would always put his chin on the table. and we'd say NO! he's also steal cabbage and other scraps out of the trash can
 He loved the out doors
 His puppy years....
 His innocent face
 And big ears
car trips he hated....(because of the V-E-T)
Me trying to get him to take a selfie with me...in the car...

His many "battle wounds" aka his missing toes.
and glowing night eyes in pictures and at night. sometimes he would scare me when i was little with those eyes.... the would glow and you could see anything else but eyes, rebel you could see him because he was yellow. I miss you Ranger! <3

These painting were all along the wall next to the river. Really COOL! it had different years with historical events at each section.

We took pics in front of this cool pic that was painted on this big wall. the red dot tells you were you are like the maps at the mall.

WE SAW THE STATUE OF LIBERTY! jk. I think you can tell it's just a replica.
Love you mom!
